In the Oakwood area we have three Girlguiding units to interest girls and women from age 7 - 25.

On Tuesdays, girls aged 7 - 10 years can come along to Brownies and participate in various activities indoors and outdoors following the Brownie Adventure programme. There are also opportunities for trips, camps and holidays.

Alongside Brownies, and for a little bit extra afterwards, girls aged 10 - 14 years can be part of their local Guide Unit. Guides choose and work on activity packs called Go For It's involving chocolate, sport, cooking, drama, camping and holidays and other activities as guided by the unit members.

Girls and women aged 14 - 25 years can join MESS, the Senior Section unit for the Division. MESS do just what their name suggests as well as following the Look Wider programme and going on trips and residentials amongst other things. MESS has as many or as few opportunities as you wish and is run by the unit members.
